AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Here are some of the area of expertise, our team specialise in. Contact us for more information on how we can help with your goal.
The personal best team are very experienced and qualified in designing weight loss programmes for our personal training clients. To cut body fat and achieve weight loss it is important to look at both your exercise and nutrition habits and build a routine which creates a calorie deficit.
In essence to reduce body fat we need to consume/ eat less calories than we burn through activity and exercise each day. However, it is important to note that the body needs a minimum amount of calories to function optimally and that consuming too few calories will result in slower weight loss or even prevent weight loss.
Our personal trainers and dietician can measure your requirements so we can tell you exactly how much exercise to do and how you should eat to achieve your goal. It takes out all the guess work, so you can focus on what you need to do with confidence that it will get you the result you want.

In 2008 one of our personal training clients was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time there were no qualifications for training people diagnosed with cancer in the UK, so we studied an American course through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
Upon becoming qualified as a cancer exercise trainer we started working with cancer charities throughout Scotland to support cancer survivors with exercise advice and support. We have worked with Breast Cancer Care (Breast Cancer Now) in Edinburgh, West Lothian and Forthvalley on there Moving Forward programme. These courses are designed to help breast cancer survivors move forwards with their lives after treatments.
