Hyrox Returns
After the phenomenal response to our last event, we’re excited to bring you our next Hyrox simulation experience! This event will feature the roxzone, a streamlined one-way system, and a complete array of Hyrox official equipment, ensuring you have everything needed for Hyrox preparation. Our course, created by Hyrox World Championship qualifier Edyta Smith, covers roughly 10km and is designed to emulate official Hyrox events closely.
Whether you’re new to Hyrox training and competitions or an experienced participant, we’ve incorporated all the key elements to invigorate and challenge you. We offer every option, including relay, doubles, and solo categories.
As a 15-year-old personal training company, we’re committed to inclusivity, offering the alternative of spin bikes instead of running. We want our entire gym community to join in the Hyrox excitement. If you or someone you know prefers not to run, inform us, and we’ll make every effort to include them in our adapted Hyrox waves.
What is Hyrox Simulation?
Hyrox simulations simulate official HYROX events to give you an opportunity to try it out, to hone your technique on each element, to establish your Hyrox Fitness, to help you decide which category suites you best, and to prepare you for HYROX. At Personal Best we provide options for all types for Hyrox such as Solo/ Doubles/ Relay team and also all categories such as MEN/WOMEN/MIXED/ OPEN/ PRO. We also offer a modified Hyrox wave which substitutes running for spin bike cycling providing an option for all your friends and team mates.
Race Format
1000m SkiErg
The first HYROX workout station is 1000m on the Ski Erg. This erg predominantly targets the arm, shoulder & core muscles, however when done efficiently, it also involves muscles in the lower body – making the Ski Erg a full body workout.
50m Sled Pull
Station number three is the sled pull. This exercise tests strength, endurance and overall fitness. Pulling the weighted sled for 50m distance.
50m Sled Push
The second workout station is 50m of Sled Push. This is one station you do not want to come unprepared for… so make sure you try it out at least once before your race and invest in some grippy shoes! This movement targets the lower body muscles, including the entire posterior chain, core & anterior thigh muscles in particular.
80m Burpee Broad Jumps
Station number four is the burpee broad jumps. This high-intensity exercise combines cardio and muscular benefits of burpees with the power and explosiveness of broad jumps. This full body movement is completed over an 80m distance.
1000m Row
Station number five is the second ergometer in this fitness race. 1000m of rowing marks the beginning of the second half of your HYROX race.
200m Farmers Carry
For 200m of Farmers Carry, engagement of your upper back muscles, core & grip strength is required. This workout station is easy to practise on your weekly shop…
100m Sandbag Lunges
10, 20 or 30 kilograms on your back whilst lunging? Welcome to workout station number seven. Primarily targets the thigh and glute muscles, this one is a burner…
100 Wall Balls
The final station… Wall Balls. With the finish line in sight, it’s time to finish your race in style & join the #HYROXFAMILY.
